Why and What | Bee Venom Oil
The skinChemists Bee Venom Oil is a replenishing elixir of oils, blended with skin-protecting actives in order to visibly restore the appearance and texture of the skin. The oil is provided in a clear glass bottle of 15mls, with a silver lid and pipette delivery system. We recommend that you apply 2-3 drops onto your freshly cleansed skin: for best effects, rub the oil between fingertips and smooth over cheeks, forehead, and chin before gently massaging into the skin. It is perfect as a night treatment, and is wonderful paired under a moisturiser so that you wake with a glowing, luminous complexion that helps you look rested and healthy. In terms of texture, the oil feels very much water-based, as opposed to oil-based, meaning that it sinks into the skin wonderfully, not leaving an oily residue on the surface of the skin. Immediately, skin looks brighter, more hydrated, and more even-toned. The oil has a lovely tropical fruit scent, which really perks up the senses, making for a lovely skin treat.
Top tip: some celebrities love to use two drops under their make up, or mixed in with their foundation for a more dewy, rested, ethereal look to the skin.
Bee venom is used to trick the surface of the skin into thinking that it has been stung with Bee Venom, causing the blood to be directed towards the "stung" area, which in turn then stimulates further production of collagen and elastin for an overall more youthful appearance.
