The benefits of Caviar for the skin
Self-confessed beauty-junkie (and wonderful beauty blogger) @Layla give us her verdict on our Caviar Collection!
I have been through my fair share of lotions and potions and consider myself to be quite knowledgable on what works and what doesn’t. So, naturally, when I heard about the skinChemists Caviar Collection, I was rather intrigued. If I can get the wonderful benefits of Caviar in my skin without actually having to put myself through eating it, I’m sold.
I was lucky enough to be sent some beautiful products from the collection. In particular, I would like to talk about the Caviar anti-ageing caviar day moisturiser and the Caviar anti-ageing eye serum, as they were my favourites (it’s never too early to apply your wrinkle cream, guys and gals). After receiving my products, I tried them for 2 weeks to make sure I saw accurate results (it’s worth mentioning here that the packaging is beaut and will do a good job of dressing up your makeup station).
The first thing I noticed after using the Anti-Ageing Caviar Day Moisturiser after this time is how even my skin tone had become. I suffer from a very uneven skin-tone, particularly on my cheeks, and this did a great job of evening things out. My skin felt soft and supple, not greasy unlike after using some other moisturisers. The Caviar was doing a great job at supplying nutrients to my skin. On top of this, makeup goes on like a DREAM over the top of this stuff. I would actually use it just for it’s priming properties alone. I really recommend this if you're looking for a new moisturiser for any skin type, particularly if you're looking for something that wears well under makeup.
My second favourite product from this range is the Anti-Ageing Caviar Eye Serum. To me, eye serums are essential. If I lose out on even one hours worth of sleep, I wake up looking like Hagrid. I was so excited whilst using this because I felt like I could feel it working right from the first application. Unlike some under eye serum’s I've tried, you can actually feel this sinking into the skin rather than just sitting on top of it. I woke up and my eyes looked more awake, and even my bags (which are horrendous) were somewhat diminished. If you are going to buy this (and I highly suggest that you do), please make sure to apply it gently with your ring finger as not to disrupt the delicate skin around your eyes. Another favourite thing to do of mine is to pop this in the fridge for 10 minutes before using it in the morning for a lovely awakening effect.
If you've heard about the skinChemists Caviar Collection and are looking for products to buy, I would definitely go with these two products for a taster of how good the collection is. It will leave you thinking ‘once people have had a taste for caviar, it baffles me how they settle for catfish’ (catfish being other skincare products, that’s a Gossip Girl reference for all you uneducated people out there).
